VET Course Enquiry - 2026
expressions of interest
Village High School is calling for expressions of interest from students across the region for a range of hands-on VET (Vocational Education and Training) courses planned for 2026. You don’t have to be a Village High School student to join in – these opportunities are open to all Year 10-12 students from Bass Coast and surrounds.
The proposed line-up includes certificates in:
Horticulture with AJ at The Cape Community Garden - a chance to dig in, get your hands dirty and learn how to grow with purpose.
Events & Tourism – uncover what it takes to plan and run great events, and explore the tourism industry that keeps our region buzzing.
Lab Tech – Food Science – step into the lab to discover the science that makes our food safe, sustainable and innovative.
Information Technology (IT) – develop digital skills for the jobs of today and tomorrow.

It’s not just students we are looking for. We are also seeking individuals with related industry experience who already have, or are willing to complete their Cert IV in Training & Assessment, to help deliver these programs. Trainers would work with small, engaged groups for three-four hours each week, around 35 weeks per year, and are supported by VHS staff. VIT registered teachers who have recently left the profession and are currently working in these industries are also encouraged to register with us.
